Waqas Al Adawi, vice chairman, S&T Group ranked #38 in CW Power 100 List, 2018

We are proud to announce that S&T Group Vice Chairman, Waqas Al Adawi has been ranked #38 (up from #41 in 2017) on Construction Week’s 2018 list of the 100 most influential people in the Middle East construction industry.

Having first appeared on the Construction Week Power 100 list last year, coming in at number 41, Waqas Al Adawi, the vice chairman of S&T Investment Holding, has once again enjoyed positive results in the past 12 months.
The company has already secured 70% of its project revenue, and revenue in the last fiscal year stood at more than $423.96m (AED1.56bn), and this is expected to rise to approximately $471m (AED1.73bn) in 2018.
“The Middle East is seeing a significant growth with Vision 2021 and Vision 2020 for the UAE and Oman, respectively,” says Al Adawi. “With focus on infrastructure development, manufacturing, tourism, and mining in the region, we envisage significant opportunities to tap the market.”
In the UAE, the Oman-based conglomerate is currently involved with the Royal Atlantis Resorts & Residences on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah, where it is carrying out interior fit-out of the 219 luxury apartments and all back-of-house areas; and is also conducting fit-out works at the Fairmont Hotel and Al Maryah Central mall projects in Abu Dhabi.
In Oman, meanwhile, the company is also handling real-estate development; construction; joinery; mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP); and Interior fit-out works at the mixed-use Waterfront, Muscat. Civil and gypsum works, MEP, and fit-out works are also underway at Al Bustan Palace Hotel, Muscat, and at the JW Marriott, Muscat, S&T is carrying out complete joinery works.
