Hotel Build India 2016

S&T Interiors & Contracting, an associate partner of the 4th Annual Hotel Build India Forum 2016 launched its new brand identity to the who’s who of hotel, contracting and construction industry of India. The event was organised by I T P Publishing on Tuesday, June 10th, 2016, at Hotel Westin, Gurgaon.

The power packed sessions addressed every critical aspect and challenges of the hospitality sector and brought together experts to analyse and explore the latest solutions and emerging technologies for the industry.

Mr. Ravikumar K.S., Executive Director – International Operations at S&T Interiors and Contracting gave an in-depth presentation on S&T’s 40 year of existence, 150+ project experience worldwide, S&T Group perspective, India office capabilities to the industry peers at the forum. Mr. Dinesh Manjunath, C.E.O S&T Interiors and Contracting, India; Mr. Ajay Masand, Business Development Head, S&T Interiors and Contracting, India; Mr. Ajith Thomas, Director S&T Interiors and Contracting and Director International Operations, CGG; and Ms. Arundhati Seigell, Head – Corporate Communications, S&T Interiors and Contracting represented S&T team.

The first panel discussion, The CEO Panel, brought together leaders from the hospitality industry and was moderated by Mandeep Lamba, MD, hotels and hospitality group, India, JLL, who asked the panellists to tell the audience about how the hotel industry has evolved over these years. Ajith Thomas, director, international operations, Chris Garrod Global said that not only has the process of implementation changed, but no more are hotels run the conventional way. Sanjay Sethi, CEO, Chalet Hotels, pointed out that little has changed and that the industry continues to face age-old problems such as labour, approval issues, technology and execution methodologies. Panellists were also of the view that the ever-changing demographic shift of guests is transforming the industry from a lifestyle business to a commodity one.
